Michael obtained his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in sculpture from the Hartford Art School in Hartford, CT. During this time, he studied at the Winchester School of Art in Winchester England and worked as a studio assistant for a renowned sculptor, fabricating steel sculptures in both of the artist’s studios in New York and London. After completing his undergraduate degree, Michael moved back to Maine and began working for a painting conservator and developing himself as an artist, creating sculptures of steel, wood and stone. Although Michael’s primary passion lies in creating sculptures by manipulating and joining heavy, robust materials, he also has experience in bronze and iron casting, glass blowing, ceramics, printmaking and painting and blacksmithing.

Michael has exhibited his work in juried and invitational exhibitions and has works in private collections through out New England and in London.
