Monica Cohen

I am an artist, graphic designer, and musician.

After graduating with a BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, I moved to New York, worked a variety of bizarre jobs by day (everything from production artist at Victoria's Secret Catalog to data entry for phone directories), and played music by night. Many roads were explored before I settled in southern Maine where I have been for almost a decade. Now my focus is on creating art for the Museum of Plenty, whose name came to me in a dream. In the dream I was walking in the West Village on my way to a club called Fez to see an ethereal band (literally a band of alien creatures). The band's name was The Museum of Plenty and Far, Far Away.

On a quest for plentitude, both individual and global, I explore a variety of media, visual, tactile, and musical.

The Museum of Plenty has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
