Brian  Crowley

Brian Crowley is an American artist born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1966. He acquired his first camera at twelve years old to photograph trains.

His early work combined elements of landscape architectural views with street photography to create several dedicated city series. In 1995, a collection of 165 prints were acquired by Memorial Hospital (now the University of  Massachusetts), and represents the largest collection by a single Worcester artist. The photographs were featured in Boston's ABC news show "Chronicle" tracking Crowley's career and photographic style.

Soon after, he exhibited in one-man shows at the Wawrzonek Gallery (Worcester MA), Clark University (Worcester , MA), Case Gallery (Portsmouth NH), and the Burlingame Gallery with master color photographer Eliot Porter   (Exeter NH).

In 2001, The Fitchburg Art Museum (MA), presented a solo exhibit of their favorite street photographs and Brian's  new Out On a Limb series, acquiring two prints for their permanent collection (Paxtonand Quechee Gorge).
