Laura  Villalobos

Laura Villalobos is an emerging printmaker specializing in relief techniques such as lino and block printing. She sees art as a language of expression, inspired by ancient civilizations, nature, and a decade of immersive studies in India.

Originally from Mexico City, she is also an Ayurvedic Physician (MD Panchakarma) and Yoga instructor. Her artistic journey began in Villahermosa, Tabasco, where she developed a love for batik, the Mayan calendar, and textiles. There, she trained in printmaking under Master José Ramón Rodríguez Briones and Zarai Gavilán.

In 2022, she moved to New Hampshire and continued honing her craft through workshops at the Art Center with Diane St. Jean, followed by a printmaking residency at the Art Center since then, she has been printing on fabric and T-shirts, bringing art into everyday life in a way that can be worn and lived.
