Jean Stimmell is a member of the NH Art Association and the NH Society of Photographic Artists. He has a lifelong passion for photography, building his first darkroom at 13 in his parents' basement. After a sabbatical on the rivers of Vietnam, he completed college and embarked on a 20-year career as a stonemason and activist, doing freelance writing and photography on the side. Later, after earning a graduate degree from Antioch University, he transitioned into a new profession as a psychotherapist, a field from which he recently retired. For years, he has been a frequent contributor to the Concord Monitor and writes at jstim.substack.com.
